The network's core values are based on the idea that:
- There is a list of key problems in this era that is shared by all people all around the world and these are the focus of global education and can through teaching enhance the students' ability to take a stand, grow empathy towards other cultures, co-operate and be creative
- Globalization holds many possibilities, but also challenges to address, reflect upon and act upon
- Students can only truly engage themselves in the world if they have knowledge, understanding and empathy for people in other parts of the world - it is therefore a central task to facilitate meetings (virtual and physical) between students from different parts of the world
- True empathy comes from meeting and understanding people from different cultures and from reflecting on your own values
- Teaching cultures and traditions are very different around the world, but many issues are shared between teachers and school managements, and we can all learn from each other
- Students from 14 to 20 years of age are the ideal group to focus on in order to open their minds towards global issues
